The village of Makrinitsa located in the central area of Pelion is one of the graphical villages of this mountain and hosts Arhontika Saltis. Makrinitsa is a historic and traditional village situated about 15 km north of the town of Volos and 12 km away from the ski center of Pelion. It is also one of the tourist villages of Pelion.
